Abstrak

Rendahnya kualitas bacaan Al-Qur'an santri yang ditandai dengan ketidaktepatan makharijul huruf dan hukum tajwid menjadi permasalahan utama di TPQ Miftahul Ulum, Dusun Repok Gapuk. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan tahsin Al-Qur’an santri melalui implementasi metode UMMI. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahap observasi awal, sosialisasi program kepada pengurus TPQ, pelaksanaan pendampingan secara intensif dengan prinsip tartil, serta evaluasi akhir capaian santri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kualitas bacaan santri, di mana santri mampu melafalkan huruf sesuai makhraj dan menerapkan hukum tajwid dasar secara lebih konsisten. Selain itu, penggunaan metode UMMI menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan dan teratur. Program ini memberikan dampak positif bagi penguatan literasi Al-Qur’an di tingkat dusun dan menjadi model pembelajaran bagi guru TPQ setempat.

This research aims to describe the process of mentoring Tahsinul Quran learning using the UMMI method at TPQ Miftahul Ulum Repok Gapuk Sekotong Tengah and to determine its effectiveness in improving the ability to read the Qur'an. The background of this research departs from the need to improve the quality of students' reading, which is still found to have errors in makhārijul hurūf, letter properties, and the accuracy of the length of the reading. The UMMI method was chosen because it has a tartīl, gentle, and fun learning approach and prioritizes learning completeness. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include tahsin mentor teachers, students, and TPQ managers. The mentoring process is carried out through the stages of opening, muroja'ah, rereading pages, individual listening, and evaluation of completeness. The results of the study indicate that mentoring using the UMMI method is effective, marked by increased student discipline, reading accuracy, and enthusiasm in the learning process. Furthermore, teachers found it easier to conduct quality control because the UMMI method provided assessment standards and systematic learning stages. Obstacles encountered included limited mentoring time and differences in students' initial abilities, but these were overcome through class grouping and additional time for muroja'ah (recitation). Overall, the mentoring of Tahsinul Quran learning using the UMMI method at TPQ Miftahul Ulum Repok Gapuk Sekotong Tengah was proven to improve the quality of students' Quran reading in a gradual and structured manner.
